What started as an independent
consulting boutique focused on technology
start-ups grew into various divisions offering
ancillary services.
This growth was driven purely by keeping one
single focus, our clients' needs. So start-up
consulting grew into private equity fund
management, general consulting grew into
specialized and more focused technology strategy
and change management advisory business. When
our clients demanded incorporations, management
oversight, training, designing their corporate
identities, websites or even needed help
breaking into the social media revolution, we
kept sourcing solutions to continue to serve our
clients (partners, as we call them).
Today, each of the service we offered has grown
into its own and although all of our companies
and business units are run independently, the
one thing that still unites and brings them all
together is whenever a client can use these
underlying synergie to help achieve their goals.
Collaboration remains at the core of everything
we do, be it with our partners or within. As for
the rest, we are very simple people doing
business the simplest possible way.

"To think is easy. To act is difficult.
To act as one thinks is the most difficult." -J.
Wolfgang von Goethe
The AG/I Logo portrays the core of our
philosophy, Shaping Thought. It
is a fusion of two classic masterpieces (The
Thinker and The Reflexions) coming together.
The Thinker
by François-Auguste-René Rodin
(Auguste Rodin, 1840-1917)
Originally named The Poet, the piece was part of
a commission by the Musée des Arts Décoratifs,
Paris to create a monumental portal to act as
the door of the museum. Rodin based his theme on
The Divine Comedy of Dante and entitled the
portal The Gates of Hell. Each of the statues in
the piece represented one of the main characters
in the epic poem. The Thinker was originally
meant to depict Dante in front of the Gates of
Hell, pondering his great poem. (In the final
sculpture, a miniature of the statue is waiting
atop the gates, pondering the hellish fate of
those beneath him.) The sculpture is nude, as
Rodin wanted a heroic figure in the tradition of
Michelangelo, to represent intellect as well as
poetry. Rodin made the first small plaster
version around 1880. The first large-scale
bronze cast was finished in 1902, but not
presented to the public until 1904, when later
it became the property of the city of Paris.
The Reflexions
by Emmanuel Radnitzky
(Man Ray, 1890-1976)
Ray was an American artist who spent most of his
career in Paris. Perhaps best described simply
as a modernist, he was a significant contributor
to both the Dada and Surrealist movements,
although his ties to each were informal. Best
known in the art world for his avant-garde
photography, Man Ray produced major works in a
variety of media and considered himself a
painter above all. He was also a renowned
fashion and portrait photographer. He is noted
for his photograms, which he renamed "rayographs"
after himself. The Reflexions was produced in
1923. |
